There is a commitment and investment in a cogeneration power plant that produces our own thermal energy, which translates into savings of around 750,000 m³ of gas per year, and in a 250kW photovoltaic plant for own consumption, which produces clean energy, representing a 7.6% decrease in energy consumption, portraying the brand’s commitment to the environment.

Focusing on the environment and the consumer’s well-being, we’ve certified the company with the internacional certification Oeko-tex Standard 100, a certification system for raw materials and products in the textile sector, whose goal is to achieve products free of substances harmful to the human health.

SAMPEDRO invests in eco-friendly fibres and has improved its collections with the introduction of sustainable fibres such as hemp, tow, lyocell and bamboo. Linen production has increased by more than 47%, one the most ecological fibres. We’ve also certified all sections with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certificate.

Sustainability is a must!

Technology at the service of reducing the ecological footprint will be a continuous commitment.

The implementation of photovoltaic panels, investment in production process machinery that significantly reduces water and gas consumption, and the introduction of energy recovery systems are successful investments for the brand and the assurance of the future sustainability of the company, in all areas.

The quality laboratory is present in all stages of the textile process, although it is not, by itself, part of it. It exists alongside production with the purpose of assuring and controlling the quality of materials and processes through physical and chemical tests.
